Here is my post for the Quietfire Challenges with the theme of Queen of Hearts. This is a transfer to a piece of muslin . The transfer was done with a photo copy and Matte Medium then used water to remove the paper off the fabric leaving the ink on the muslin. I then used a couple more layers of the matte medium before embellishing. I have used beads and Pearl Ex on it and think I would like to add some embroidery in the future to add more detail to the dress. I did the felted heart awhile ago but thought it would work OK with the theme. Thanks for looking be sure to leave a comment with your blog site so I can go an see your art as well. Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!

Lovely Judy, if this is going to fit in an 8X8 journal that playing card must be a very small card. Thanks for visiting my entry.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful transfer ... it really turned out well! Reminds me of Mary Queen of Scots! Good luck in the challenge!
ReplyDeleteReally striking image - I like it very much!
ReplyDeleteJudy this is truly beautiful and certainly fits the Queen of Hearts theme. I posted a link to my Tag but it doesn't come close to this.
ReplyDeleteThis is just wonderful!! Great transfer. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWonderful bead embellishment here, Judy, and all those tiny, shiny hearts that I didn't notice until clicking for an enlarged view really are special. It's sort of like a golden aura about her. Very evocative. Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeletePluck up your hearts! I love it! This is just awesome! Way to go Judy. Thanks for taking the Queen of Hearts Challenge!
ReplyDeleteThis piece has wonderful texture and depth. I'm so glad that you described the technique you used. I'd have never guessed it was a transfer onto linen! Thanks so much for your sweet comment recently on my blog....means the world to me.
